Faces of Dudley at Nubian Square

Boston-based Light Justice volunteers hosted a very successful community night walk and lighting demonstration in Nubian Square, Roxbury.

It was an incredible night of learning and celebrating with Roxbury community members, leaders, and our local Light Justice community.

The presentation and walk held many exciting moments, but lighting the historic "Faces of Dudley" mural was the highlight of the night. Seeing the transformation of a community mural that was left in the dark for over 30 years to finally being illuminated at night for everyone to admire, was moving for us all.

This would not have been possible without the support of our volunteers, Roxbury community leaders, and Reflex Lighting, who have collaborated tremendously over the last 2 years for this initiative to permanently light the "Faces of Dudley".

Thank you to: Bartholomew | Lighting, Roxbury Main Streets, City of Boston, Asha J., Carlos Alonso-Niemeyer, Photographer Exodus Gonzalez, and everyone else who contributed to this effort!
